Norwich immediately established themselves as a first division outfit during the 1975 – 76 campaign as they enjoyed a fine season, finishing it off in tenth position. They reached the fifth round of the FA Cup, however suffered defeat against Bradford City. Kevin Keelan was in fine form for the club through out the campaign.
The 1976 – 1977 season saw Norwich struggle towards the end and managed to finish off in 16th position and a third round finish in the FA Cup.
The 1977 – 78 season saw an improvement in Norwich’s league fortunes as they finished it off in decent 13th place.
John Bond remained in charge at Norwich until the year 1980 after seven years in charge at the club. The 1979 – 1980 campaign saw Norwich finish off strongly in a respectable 12th place finish. They enjoyed a fine run in the league cup, however suffered defeat against Liverpool in the quarter finals of the competition. They were knocked out of the FA Cup in the fourth round as Wolverhampton Wanderers knocked them out of the competition. Ken Brown took over as the new manager of Norwich City FC towards the end of 1980. The 1979 – 80 season was also notable for the emergence of future England international, Mark Barham.
